I love discovering new products. One of the best things about drugstore brand cosmetics is how often new products are released. One of the latest from Revlon is the Ultra HD Matte Lip Colors. It was difficult to find and it took a while until it was available. I was finally able to get my hands on HD Seduction (dusty rose) and HD Devotion (darker nude). When I realized how much I liked them, I went out and bought HD Passion and HD Addiction

Tips & Tricks: New lifestyle to help reach goal Weight

012

Between the months of April and September 2015, I lost 25 lbs. When the weather started getting colder and I couldn’t go out to enjoy my favorite activity (biking), I switched my goal from losing weight to maintaining my weight loss. It was the first time in my life that I accomplished the weight loss goal I set for myself.

2016 Book Challenge

I love to read, but my dilemma is finding books interesting enough to pull me in. My moods differ and I can start off enthusiastic but lose steam halfway through. I realize that I don’t care about the characters and throw the book off to the side.

Last summer, I bought the Yorkshire Beverage Dispenser and dedicated the top shelf on the fridge to it. Originally, I was going to use it for fruit infused water but I got inspired to take it a step further and create homemade drinks and subsequently allow me to control my own sugar intake. Below is the first sparkling punch I created that helped my soda cravings.

Review: MAC Prep + Prime Fix +

001

This product is a category 3. For a full description of beauty product categories, please visit the My Beauty Philosophy page.

I purchased MAC’s Prep + Prime Fix + after seeing it used repeatedly in YouTube tutorials. I was curious about its use of adding vibrance to eye shadows but mostly I just wanted to figure out what its purpose was. Is it a makeup setting spray? Is it a primer? Is it for eye shadows? The answer is yes to all three. You would think that’s where it went wrong as usually when a product tries to be too versatile, it fails at everything it promises on. That was until I looked at the ingredients…

Tips & Tricks: To tone or Not to Tone?

The debate about toners has beauty gurus taking two opposite ends of the spectrum. Some feel this is a necessary step, others don’t see any purpose of it. If you’re thinking about whether you need to start using a toner, first consider your cleansing ritual.
